First Photo: October 2015

I am trying to soak in the sunshine and warmth and green while it is still here.  There are signs, some subtle, others not so, of the changing season. Hints of red in the burning bush and yellows and oranges peaking among the trees give a glimpse of what is to come.

But just now, I want to stand still and take in what is.  Because what is coming will be here soon enough.

  1. I'm really bad at focusing on what is; I too often get caught up in the to do list or worries for the future. Thanks for the great reminder to enjoy the now.

  2. I am trying not to think about what is coming as well. I heard a news reporter say once that he enjoys spring more because what comes after spring is summer...but what comes after fall...well...any of us living in the northwest, etc..all know to well. We are having beautiful fall weather now as well and I see some bright colors coming out...I do enjoy cooler weather, bundling under my blankets and I love apple desserts, sauces and the smell of anything fall.

  3. I love that perspective! What is right now is beautiful, but many of the leaves in slightly higher elevations are already past the prime and on the ground. What is coming is almost here. It has it's advantages and disadvantages, but we can only live in the now.
