Did you know. . .

. . . that you can get Poison Ivy even when the vine has no leaves?  I didn’t, but I do now!

A week or so before Thanksgiving I did some end-of-year yard cleanup and decided to pull out a vine that was climbing up the siding.  Big mistake!  I soon had a lovely rash on my wrist and on my leg.

Beware of the vines with hairy roots on them – bad!

  1. Peace Donna~I am new to your blog. I was recommended by Amy at This Cross I Embrace.

We went on a nature hike a few weeks ago at a nature center. There was a fuzzy thick vine climbing one of the trees...made you want to reach out and touch it. Thank goodness the guide stopped us...poison ivy! Who would of thought.

    Have a blessed week.

  4. I'm with KT; I can barely recognize poison ivy WITH the leaves. Don't know what to think about trying to just figure out the vine! I hope your rash cleared up quickly!
